Human Head Announces Partnership with Square Enix

Human Head Studios is pleased to announce our partnership with Square Enix on The Quiet Man. We’re proud of the technically advanced and creative visual work the team did to help Square Enix producer Fujinaga Kensei realize his vision for this unique cinematic action experience.

From Square Enix, “THE QUIET MAN takes players beyond sound to deliver an immersive story-driven cinematic action experience, which can be completed in one sitting. In a story that unravels across a single night, players take the role of deaf protagonist Dane as he fights his way to discover the motives behind the kidnapping of songstress Lala by a mysterious masked man.”

This was an exciting opportunity for the studio, as The Quiet Man blends full motion graphics, gameplay, and video. The cinematic visual treatment was an interesting challenge for our team and we enjoyed working on a genre-crossing project with no predetermined roadmap.

The project brought together many new partners. 3 Lateral was instrumental in the hyperrealistic scanning process. Human Head worked with Game On to capture the greater majority of the motion capture footage and Cubic Motion assisted with the processing of the scans. New challenges and partnerships such as these presented a tremendous growth experience for the studio.
